Choosing your first soccer cleats

Start with the surface you play on most. Firm-ground (FG) studs suit natural grass; artificial-grass (AG) studs are shorter and more numerous; indoor shoes have flat rubber soles. Fit matters more than price: leave about a thumb's width at the toe and avoid heel slip.
